Fire destroys warehouse on Lubec waterfront

Lubec lost another historic building on October 1, when the warehouse on the town dock adjacent to the state boat ramp burned to the ground, despite the dedicated efforts of both Lubec and Campobello firefighters. A total of approximately 32,000 gallons of water was pumped onto the blaze.

The May 2 meeting of the Lubec school board opened with a public workshop to discuss the third draft of the proposed school budget for fiscal year 2024-2025. It attracted a handful of participants, including all three members of the town's budget committee.
