While there may be few contested races in the June 14 primary election in Washington County, voters will have to study up on the new electoral districts for the Maine House of Representatives, as they have changed following the redistricting that was approved last year.

Voting is expected to be heavy in what many consider to be one of the most consequential presidential elections in recent U.S. history on Tuesday, November 3. Along with the presidential race, Maine voters will be electing a U.S.

In the Tuesday, November 6, general election, Maine voters will be electing a new governor to succeed Republican Paul LePage, whose eight years in office have been marked by controversy, including his decision to close the Downeast Correctional Facility in Washington County.
