Cancer survivors gather to share stories and hope
The second annual cancer survivors program, held Friday, October 2, at the Lee Pellon Center in Machias, was attended by over 70 people. The welcome was by Susan Rowan of the Maine Cancer Foundation, which promotes research and education with startup funding.

It looked like Moose Island was invaded by people of all shapes, sizes and ages wearing bandannas, black hats with skull and crossbones, eye-patches and striped shirts during the fourth annual Eastport Pirate Festival on September 11, 12 and 13.
"It was very successful," says Chris Brown,
