Harbour deLoutre Products, a fish farm company on Campobello Island, was recently sold to Ocean Horizons of St. George. Ocean Horizons is owned by the Larry Ingalls family. Negotiations for the sale began in 2007, with the transfer taking place on February 1.

Acrobat Research of Toronto has officially decided to locate in Calais, and the proposed opening date for the call center is Monday, January 21. "We're very happy to have Acrobat Research come to Calais," says Calais Assistant City Manager Jim Porter.

A request by Downeast LNG to withdraw its application before the Maine Board of Environmental Protection (BEP) for the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility at Mill Cove in Robbinston was denied October 25 by the board in a 5-3 vote.
