Genomics, aquaculture projects explore future of growing cod

A four-year, $18.2 million genomics research project on cod aquaculture will begin in January, being led in part by researchers at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre in St. Andrews and working with Cooke Aquaculture as an industry partner.

Quoddy Bay LLC announced on October 24 that it is evaluating a specific site in Perry for a $230 million liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage facility in connection with the Passamaquoddy Tribe's Split Rock LNG import pier facility.

Third LNG plan for county wins Calais approval

Yet another liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility is being proposed within a 25-mile area stretching from Pleasant Point to Calais. The latest LNG terminal would be located at Red Beach, within the city limits of Calais.
