Robbinston residents will have the opportunity to vote on whether the Robbinston School System should withdraw from AOS 77 by town vote set for Monday, March 9, from 12:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Robbinston Fire Station.

The AOS 77 school board is proceeding with a lawsuit against Calais over payment of the city's share of the AOS superintendent's contract, after mediation failed to resolve the issue.

At the Calais School Committee's January 20 meeting, Superintendent Bob Moholland submitted a letter of resignation to the board, to be effective July 1.

New Calais school system Superintendent Keith Laser didn't hide his dismay and concern at a school committee workshop held on September 11. After having reviewed the budget with staff, he said, "It's a lot worse than anyone thought."
