RAISING THE MISS TESS,
RAISING THE MISS TESS, a 34-foot fishing boat owned by Justin McPhail of Perry, are two barges from Cooke Aquaculture. Also helping out to raise the boat was diver Scott MacNichol, and McPhail is also appreciative of his family’s assistance. The vessel sank during the night of January 17 while moored off Prince’s Cove, Eastport. McPhail reports that the packing let go in the stuffing box around the propeller shaft and the boat’s batteries had died. He expected to get the boat going again on January 20. (Edward French photo)
