THE ARTS ON THE WORKING WATERFRONT

THE ARTS ON THE WORKING WATERFRONT
THE ARTS ON THE WORKING WATERFRONT. A performance that combined dance, visual elements and sound was presented on the Eastport fish pier on the evening of August 27. Visual artist Vittoria Chierici, composer Eve Beglarian and choreographer Liz Gerring presented the site-specific performance. The artists drew inspiration from Eastport and its history, including the sound of sardine factory whistles, in their experimental presentation. The artists intend to return to Eastport in the future for more extended development of these themes. The project is organized by the Tides Institute & Museum of Art. (Edward French photo)
