WITH THE DEPARTURE of the cruise ship Riviera from Eastport on August 1, presentations were made to express the appreciation felt by the crew for the welcome they received during their stay at the island city. Tania Pe'a, representing the crew, presented a plaque to Don Dunbar, who along with David Oja were unofficial community ambassadors in forging friendships through social media with crew members. Dunbar, in turn, is shown presenting a City of Eastport flag to Pe'a. Left to right are David Oja, Tessa Ftorek, one of the port authority's cruise ship ambassadors, Dunbar, Pe'a and Kevin Raye, president of the Eastport Area Chamber of Commerce, who also presented gifts for the crew.
